In the pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee, sometimes the universe nudges you to carve out your path. That's precisely what happened with Bart, a coffee enthusiast turned craftsman, whose journey began with a single discontent - the inability to find a cup of coffee that was just right. Tired of sips that were too bitter, too bland, or just not "it", Bart decided it was time to take matters into his own hands, leading to the birth of "Bart's Crazy Good Coffee".
From a Garage to a Blossoming Coffee Empire
Back in 2018, amidst the aromatic confines of his garage in Irmo, South Carolina, Bart embarked on his quest to create a blend that was both rich and invigorating. A blend that would resonate with fellow coffee lovers and even those who were yet to fall in love with coffee. After many trials and even more errors, Bart finally struck gold with his O.M.G Original blend - a coffee so good, it became an instant favorite in his southern hometown.
By 2019, word of Bart's exceptional coffee had spread like wildfire, turning his small garage venture into a bustling truck serving heavenly coffee treats. But Bart didn't stop there. His relentless passion and commitment to his craft saw him opening a permanent location in 2020, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Bart's coffee journey.
Physical Locations and Brewing Dreams
And by 2024, we had grown to three thriving shops, each a hub for connection and great brews. However, challenges in scaling led us to reevaluate, and in early 2025 we made the tough decision to scale back, eventually closing our final shop in Ballentine. After five incredible years of retail operations, we look back on a remarkable run filled with cherished moments serving and interacting with our loyal customers. Ultimately, we chose to close our retail coffee shops to refocus on our roots, dedicating our energy to building and expanding our coffee roasting business for the future..
Now... with an expanding online presence, Bart's Crazy Good Coffee is reaching households across the country, delivering freshly roasted coffee beans that promise a burst of flavor and freshness with every brew. Each and every bag of coffee, and box of K-cups carries the love, dedication, and the spirit of innovation that Bart infused into his very first blend.
